My hometown of Philly is one of the more unique in America. The people of our town are called many things but none of the words used by others to describe us are accurate. What we are, and always have been is Passionate.
pas·sion·ate
/ˈpaSH(ə)nət/adjective
showing or caused by strong feelings or a strong belief.
This passion has been in this city from the very beginning and it is how our nation was founded.
This passion is found in other parts of the world, but not to the extent to what I have found since I have been here. Examples of this same passion can be seen by countries during the world cup tournaments. One difference is that Philly’s passion never dies down.
Today is the Superbowl and once again our passion is at a fever pitch. This is the kind of passion we need in the world, just as we did for the founding of the country.
