Tony's Place is a hidden jem of a restaurant that everyone needs to try.
I ordered a bowl of chili and a evening special which was a pulled pork shepherds pie.

The chili is supposedly a 55 year old recipe. For such an old recipe I was hopeful that I would be blown away by the flavors. While the chili was good (and the strangest I have ever had), it really did not blow me away. I liked the cooked cheese on top which was a great way to serve it over the usual sprinkled non melted cheese most places do. The strange part for me was the ultra ground meat which gave the chili a smooth texture versus the normal chunky texture most others have.

The special of the night, pulled pork shepherds pie, was in a word...spectacular. Bursting with multiple flavors, it was a treat for my palate. While a touch soupy due to the apple cider, I couldn't stop eating until it was gone.
I will definitely be back to try more items from their varied menu and recommend you do the same.
